Kushinagar is my favorite place, because I have completed my Graduation in 1996, from Buddha Post Graduate College ( BPGC ) and passed a very beautiful memorable time here. 

I have spent most of my college years at this holy place. So, I am most of aware about this historical places. Today I have the great pleasure that we could bring out this online informative Blog Site about the holy kushinagar, that could be provide a little bit idea to the visitors and pilgrims.

How to reach Kushinagar

Due to day by day improving and well connectivity with Road and Rail route anyone can reach here very easily and comfortably from each places and any place of India, whatever North, South, East and West.

About Bus Route:
Today Kushinagar is well connected by the roads with all the major cities and town of the state of Uttar Pradesh, India, Its situated on the main road ( NH 28 ) of Gorakhpur and Kasia, As about to 51 Km from the Gorakhpur city and 2 Km from Kasia. So anyone can reach here very easily and comfortably from each places by using Government Roadways Buses. Today day by day its improving and other conveyance are also available likes as Private Buses, Taxies, Jeeps etc. 

It's also well connected with neighbours places as Hata, Ramkola, Tamkuhi Raj and Padrauna by roads, It's district head-quarters is Padrauna.

About Rail Route:
Kushinagar today don't have a direct Rail route, But Gorakhpur is the nearest Railway Station from the Kushinagar City, about 55 kilometres, and is the headquarters of North Eastern Railways. The Gorakhpur railway station is well connected directly to the major cities of India, here so many trains are running and connect it to Delhi, Mumbai, Banglore, Barauni, Cochin, Gujarat and Bihar.

About Air Route:
The nearest Airport is Gorakhpur that is about to 45 kilometers from Kushinagar. But Gorakhpur airport don't have a daily and regular flights from the rest of India.

The location of the Kushinagar :

  2. It's situated about 254 kilometres from Sravasti,
  3. It's situated about 266 kilometres from Sarnath,

About the Kushinagar City


The city of Kushinagar is today a district and located in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India, Approx 51 K.m. from Gorakhpur, and also this is a famous world city. The city of Kushinagar is one of the most holy places for the Buddhists, as it is the place where the Lord Gautam Buddha passed his last days and attained the state of Mahaparinirvana (death) at the age of 80.

The city of Kushinagar is also known as Kasia or Kusinara. Where Kasia is the famous market of kushinagar city, and it is located at just 2 K.m. from Kushinagar city.

Today, here everyday many peoples, pilgrims and tourists comes from the many places of India and foreign city, as from all over the world for visiting. Here is a lot of crowds sees at the moment of the Lord Buddha birthday's, that celebrates on the Buddha Purnima.
